About us: Odile Kgaswe Architects
OKA was formed in 2004 in order to respond to the growing demand for high quality, well- designed and large-scale residential and commercial conversion projects in the Johannesburg inner-city.
The firm consists of principal Odile Kgaswe and a team of creative, highly skilled technical staff and qualified architects. Since its inception, the firm has become known for its ability to combine both practical and creative considerations in its range of projects, delivering on time, within budget and with optimal client satisfaction.
Principal, Odile Kgaswe received her Bachelor of Architecture (DPLG) at the Ecole d’ Architecture de Paris La Défense.
After pursuing a number of residential and commercial projects with several well-known architects in Paris, she was invited to complete a research thesis in partnership with the School of Architecture, University of Witswatersrand in Johannesburg.
Before setting up her own practice in Johannesburg, she worked for several years with highly acclaimed architects Phil Mashabane and Jeremy Rose and Mohammed Mayet.
